OEM bed liners offered by the truck manufacturer are NOT done at the factory during the production process. Instead, the truck is built, then it gets shipped off to an off-site location, sprayed, then brought back to the factory for transport to your dealer. This can delay your truck by 3-5 weeks.
But that’s not the worst part - OEM bed liners are NOT prepped correctly because correct prepping takes time - too much time when they are doing 50-100 of them a day. These “installers” usually scuff the edge of where the liner will be applied only and then the spray the liner over shiny paint. Shiny paint has almost no hold to the bed liner and will peel and chip easily.
You paid a lot of money for your truck, don’t let a low quality bed liner ruin it.
